Outback Coding was founded on the belief that expert IT consulting doesn't have to be based in the city.
After growing up in regional Victoria, I spent over a decade building my IT career in Melbourne, delivering technology solutions across local government, not-for-profit and start up sector. While the work was rewarding, I never quite settled in the city.
In 2025 I landed my first remote client and set out from Melbourne and travelled along the Murray, up to the Flinders Ranges and back via Broken Hill; working for a few months in the NSW Riverina as a roustabout on a shearing team.
Today I am focused on growing Outback Coding into a consultancy that supports more organisations who need someone who gets regional Australia.
